The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the list of candidates cleared to contest the by-elections scheduled for June 20, 2026, across six constituencies in the country.
The elections will be conducted in Ondo South, Nasarawa North, Rivers South-East and Enugu North Senatorial Districts, as well as the Zuru Constituency of the Kebbi State House of Assembly and the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State.
According to the list published on the electoral commission’s website, the candidates are:
Ondo South Senatorial District
1. Adesanya Olaoluwa — APP
2. Faduyile Francis Adedayo — APC
3. Akinwumi Adeolu Harrison — APM
4. Nejo Funso Clement — BP
Nasarawa North Senatorial District
1. Halilu Danladi Envwulu-Aza — APC
2. Maku Labaran — LP
3. John Paul Araneshri — NNPP
4. Emmanuel David Ombugadu — PDP
Rivers South-East Senatorial District
1. Douglas Fabeeke Beeka — AA
2. Osarosaka Ebenezer Erewari — APC
3. Sam Kinanee Barikpoa — LP
4. Nwogu Olaka Johnson — PDP
Enugu North Senatorial District
1. Asogwa Ikeje Israel — APC
2. Aneke Kingsley Chukwuebuka — BP
3. Ezeme Nestor Chika — PDP
Kebbi State House of Assembly – Zuru Constituency
1. Garba Aiki Rabiu — APC
2. Aliyu Galadima Muhammad — LP
Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, Kano State
1. Rabiu Shuaibu — APC
2. Lawan Garba Haruna — APM
3. Abubakar Yahaya Muhammad — LP
The June 20 polls will fill vacant seats in the constituencies and will hold on the same day as the Ekiti State governorship election.
