The Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has approved the immediate redeployment of four commissioners as part of a cabinet reshuffle in the state.
The redeployment was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Gebon Kataps dated August 26, 2026 and made available to journalists in Jalingo.
Under the new arrangement, the Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, Peter George, has been moved to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs.
The Commissioner for Water Management and Aquatic Affairs, Daniel Ishaku, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Waste Management and Resource Innovation, Bernard Shonzen James Kassa, has been moved to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services.
The Commissioner for Social Development and Human Services, Philip Habu James, is now the Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry.
According to the statement, the redeployment takes immediate effect.
The state statement said the governor wished the affected commissioners success in their respective new ministries.
The latest cabinet reshuffle comes as the Kefas administration continues to implement its policies and programmes across various sectors of the state.
