The Renewed Hope Youths Vanguard has reaffirmed its loyalty to Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa during a strategic meeting with the Governor in Akure, where the group also declared total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re‑election bid.
In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Kowe Odunayo Amos, the group said, “Governor Aiyedatiwa’s purposeful, people‑oriented and visionary leadership has continued to transform Ondo State through strategic infrastructure development, sound governance, economic advancement and youth‑focused policies.”
The Renewed Hope Youths Vanguard commended the Governor for approving and executing landmark projects, citing “the construction of the 2.38‑kilometre flyover in Akure, rehabilitation of major roads, canalisation projects, rehabilitation of the Owena Dam and the historic upgrade of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, into a University of Agriculture and Technology.”
It also applauded ongoing works including “the reconstruction of the Akure–Idanre road, near completion of the Akure–Ita Ogbolu road, completion of roads within the Alagbaka Extension, completion of Oda road, significant progress on Ijoka road, completion of the Oyanrugbulem overhead bridge, rapid construction of the Oba Adesida/Cathedral flyover, and revival of the long‑abandoned Aboto–Atijere road.”
The group praised Aiyedatiwa’s welfare initiatives, noting “payment of pensions, automatic employment for outstanding NYSC award recipients and ₦1 million each to 67 awardees.” It described his administration’s focus on healthcare, agriculture, electricity supply, urban renewal and industrial projects such as the proposed deep seaport as “positioning Ondo State for sustainable economic growth.”
The Renewed Hope Youths Vanguard also highlighted the Governor’s “steadfast support for security agencies, commitment to peace, transparency and accountable governance, and grassroots development projects across the eighteen local government areas.”
In view of these achievements, the group said it had “unanimously reaffirmed its total loyalty and support for the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.” It pledged to mobilise young people across the state in support of his vision for a more prosperous and progressive Ondo State.
On national politics, the group declared “total support for the re‑election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” describing his Renewed Hope Agenda as “a bold and transformative national development blueprint.” It resolved to work for the success of the “Ondo for Asiwaju 2027” movement, stressing that the partnership between Tinubu and Aiyedatiwa would “accelerate development, expand opportunities for young people and strengthen Nigeria’s democratic progress.”
The Renewed Hope Youths Vanguard also called on youths in Ondo State to “remain united, peaceful and committed to supporting leaders who have consistently demonstrated genuine commitment to the welfare and development of the people.”
