Police Service Commission (PSC) has fixed April 28 to 30, 2026, for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) for candidates in the ongoing police recruitment exercise nationwide.

The examination comes on the heels of the physical and credentials screening exercise, expected to end on April 18, and will take place across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Confirming the development, the Sokoto State Police Command said the CBT remains a key stage in selecting qualified applicants for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, emphasised the importance of the test in the recruitment process.

“This aptitude test is a crucial stage to ensure that only competent and qualified candidates are enlisted into the Force,” he said.

He noted that the duration of the exercise in each state would depend on the number of candidates and the capacity of available CBT centres, adding that while some states may conclude within a day, others could utilise the full three-day window.

The commission reiterated its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process aimed at strengthening the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force.
