A total of 1.70 million patients are currently receiving HIV treatment across Nigeria as of May 13, 2026, according to the National Data Repository.
The data showed that the North-Central geo-political zone recorded the highest number of patients on treatment with 444,901 cases.
The South-South followed with 407,301 patients, while the South-West recorded 260,702 patients receiving treatment.
The South-East accounted for 215,455 patients, while the North-East and North-West recorded 186,939 and 177,780 patients respectively.
