Sultan Abubakar Ali, Chairman of SA Group Consortium, has issued a public clarification regarding his use of an ambassadorial title, following recent directives by the Federal Government on the designation and usage of such titles in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to the public, Ali explained that his title as “Eminent Ambassador for Peace and Conflict Resolution” was conferred by the Wazobia a non-governmental organisation focused on peacebuilding and dialogue facilitation across.
He stressed that the recognition remains purely honorary and symbolic, distancing it from any form of official government appointment or diplomatic status.
“It is hereby stated unequivocally that the aforementioned designation is strictly honorary and symbolic in character. It does not constitute, imply, or confer any official appointment, governmental designation, or diplomatic accreditation from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or from any ministry, department, agency, or organ of government,” he stated.
The statement, according to him, was issued in the interest of transparency, accountability, and factual accuracy, in line with national expectations and respect for constituted authority.
Sultan Abubakar Ali leads SA Group Consortium, a registered conglomerate with operations spanning energy, infrastructure, international trade facilitation, and general contracting.
