The National Union of Okitipupa Local Government Students (NUOLGS) has announced plans to hold the second edition of the Okitipupa Students Festival from December 27 to 29, 2026.
The announcement was made in a press release signed by the union’s National President, Sen. Prince Adeoye Omoleminu, and National General Secretary, Comr. Gbodi Oluwaseun, and broadcast by the National Public Relations Officer, Sen. Adegeye John Oluwafemi.
The three-day event, tagged Okitipupa Students Festival 2.0, will be held under the leadership of Omoleminu’s New Era Administration.
The festival is themed “Unlocking Students’ Potential for Leadership, Entrepreneurship and National Growth” and aims to bring together students, youths, community leaders and other stakeholders to promote unity, leadership development, entrepreneurship and youth engagement.
Activities lined up for the festival include students’ games, a free medical outreach, a picnic, cultural displays and award presentations.
The event will also provide opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and talent discovery, while recognising individuals who have made outstanding contributions to students’ development and community growth.
According to the union, the festival reflects the New Era Administration’s commitment to helping young people develop leadership skills, explore entrepreneurial opportunities and contribute meaningfully to societal development.
NUOLGS called on students from Okitipupa Local Government Area, both at home and abroad, youth organisations, traditional institutions, government officials, corporate organisations, philanthropists and other stakeholders to support and participate in the festival.
Individuals and organisations interested in sponsoring or partnering with the event are encouraged to contact the organisers on 08148352304 or 07043237868 for further enquiries.
