Olawande’s appointment timely for APC’s 2027 youth campaign — Ogbohunekun

The Akoko North-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Engr. Ogbohunekun Adeleke, has congratulated the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, on his appointment as Director of Youth Mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.

Adeleke described Olawande’s appointment as a timely move capable of giving fresh impetus to the APC’s youth mobilisation strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement, the coordinator said the minister’s grassroots experience and understanding of youth engagement positioned him to effectively coordinate young supporters and strengthen the party’s electoral machinery.

He noted that the assignment would require strategic planning and effective coordination to convert the growing interest of young Nigerians in politics into meaningful support for the APC.

“Olawande has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth development and grassroots engagement. I am confident that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on this important assignment,” Adeleke said.

The City Boy Movement coordinator expressed optimism that the new role would help deepen mobilisation across wards, polling units and local government areas as the party prepares for the 2027 poll.

Adeleke also called on APC members, particularly young people, to rally behind Olawande and contribute to the party’s mobilisation drive across the country.

He expressed confidence that the minister would work with stakeholders to build a formidable youth support base capable of delivering victory for President Bola Tinubu and the APC in 2027.

“His appointment is a call to duty, and we are confident that he will deliver. We look forward to a stronger and more coordinated youth mobilisation campaign,” Adeleke added.
