The Zamfara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged citizens, particularly party supporters, to take advantage of the ongoing online registration process across Nigeria to register with the party.
In a statement made available to journalists in Gusau, the state capital, the party’s spokesman, Comrade Abdulkareem Umar Lihidda, also encouraged members who have not yet obtained their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so, describing it as essential for electing leaders of their choice and holding those in power accountable.
The statement emphasised that it is the constitutional duty of every Nigerian above 18 years to register and obtain a PVC.
The party further advised residents of Zamfara State and Nigerians nationwide to be proactive in exercising their voting rights in the 2027 general elections, rather than lamenting electoral outcomes afterward.
“This is the right time to make informed decisions by ensuring that every Nigerian above 18 gets his or her Permanent Voter Card,” the statement added.
