PHOTOS: Shettima in Eagle Square for National Police Day Grand Finale

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, has arrived at Eagle Square, Abuja, for the 2026 National Police Day Grand Parade and Procession.

In a statement on Tuesday by his media aide, Stanley Nkowcha, it was confirmed that, upon arrival, Vice President Shettima took the salute from officers on parade as the ceremony got underway.

“Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently taking the salute from officers on parade as the 2026 National Police Day ceremony gets underway,” the statement read.

The event brings together senior government officials, the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, security chiefs, and officers drawn from across the federation.

The statement further added that the celebration will also pay tribute to fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The formal parade and ceremonial honours mark the opening of the event, with officers of the Nigeria Police Force “lined up in full parade formation” to welcome the Vice President.
