The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has suspended the selection of examination towns for candidates registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Ekiti.

The board disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

Benjamin said that the suspension was to enable the board restructure examination towns to ensure closer proximity to candidates and reduce transportation challenges on examination days.

Benjamin said the anomalies necessitated urgent adjustments in the interest of candidates, prompting the temporary suspension of town selection in the state.
