Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all his political aides of their duties with immediate effect, in what the administration described as part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery across the state.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, who noted that those affected include Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor.
According to the statement, the Governor expressed appreciation to the affected aides for their contributions to the development of the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The development comes as part of a broader plan by the administration to strengthen governance and improve coordination. To this end, the Governor is set to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
The planned appointments are expected to inject fresh capacity into the administration and ensure wider grassroots representation in governance.
