The National Headquarters of the National Union of Okitipupa Local Government Students (NUOLGS) today paid a courtesy visit to a distinguished stakeholder and friend of the Union, Hon. Akinnagbe Alaba, Chief Executive Officer of Enomria Farm & Abattoir, Okitipupa.
The visit, led by the National President of NUOLGS, Prince Adeoye Omoleminu, was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the Union and one of its pioneering stakeholders, while discussing issues surrounding student development, welfare and community advancement.
The National President warmly commended Hon. Akinnagbe Alaba for his consistent support, encouragement and commitment to the growth of NUOLGS and the welfare of its students. He particularly acknowledged him as one of the pioneering stakeholders who believed in the Union and supported its activities from its formative years.
Prince Adeoye also expressed appreciation to Hon. Akinnagbe for choosing to invest in Okitipupa through Enomria Farm & Abattoir, describing the establishment as a commendable investment that reflects confidence in the potential of Okitipupa.
He noted that the enterprise contributes meaningfully to agriculture, livestock development, food security, employment, value creation and local economic growth, while also strengthening the agricultural value chain within the community.
During the engagement, the NUOLGS leadership presented the vision and objectives of the current administration, with particular emphasis on student welfare, academic excellence, leadership development, entrepreneurship, empowerment, unity and strategic engagement with stakeholders.
A major highlight of the discussion was the forthcoming Okitipupa Students Festival, scheduled for December. The National President explained that the festival is being designed as a major platform for students across Okitipupa Local Government to come together, celebrate their achievements and talents, promote unity, network, learn and explore opportunities for personal and leadership development.
He emphasized that the festival goes beyond entertainment, as it is intended to become a platform for student engagement, talent discovery, leadership development and the promotion of a stronger sense of unity among Okitipupa students.
Other important issues concerning the welfare, future programmes and overall development of Okitipupa students were also discussed, making the engagement a truly productive and memorable one.
Responding to the visit, Hon. Akinnagbe Alaba appreciated the NUOLGS leadership for its commitment and dedication to the progress of Okitipupa students. He also commended the Union for its proactive approach and continuous engagement with stakeholders.
The visit was accompanied by the National Treasurer, Comrade Olatujoye Samson, and the National Assistant General Secretary, Comrade Sajo Oluwakemi.
The NUOLGS National Headquarters remains committed to building stronger partnerships with individuals and organisations that share the vision of empowering students, developing young leaders and contributing to the sustainable development of Okitipupa Local Government.
