Graduates of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology (formerly Tai Solarin College of Education), Omu-Ajose, Ogun State, in affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University, have expressed concern over the prolonged delay in the release and processing of their 2025 academic results, urging the institution’s management to take immediate steps to resolve the issue.
The graduates made the appeal in a statement dated July 15, 2026, and signed by Concerned Students of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology (SACOETEC), Omu-Ajose, Ogun State, in affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).
According to the statement, the delay had persisted for more than one year despite several meetings and engagements between representatives of the affected graduates and the management of the institution.
The graduates said they had repeatedly been assured that the matter was “being worked on.” They, however, said the assurances had not translated into any visible progress, while the management had yet to issue an official explanation for the delay or provide a definite timeline for the release of the outstanding results.
They noted that the prolonged silence had left hundreds of affected graduates unable to pursue further education, secure employment and take advantage of other life opportunities because their academic status remained unresolved.
The graduates also said the delay had caused emotional and psychological distress to parents and guardians who had invested heavily in their children’s education, leaving many families worried and uncertain about the future of their wards.
They called on the management of the institution to issue an official public statement explaining the reasons for the delay, provide a clear timeline for the completion and release of the outstanding academic results and take immediate administrative steps to ensure that all pending academic processes were concluded without further delay.
The statement read, “Education remains a vital pillar of national development, and students deserve transparency, accountability, and timely academic administration. A delay of over one year is unacceptable and continues to have far-reaching consequences on the lives and careers of the affected graduates.”
The graduates described their appeal as peaceful and made in good faith, expressing hope that the management would act responsibly and urgently to resolve the matter in the best interest of the institution and its students.
They further stated, “We therefore appeal to the Management of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology, Omu-Ajose, Ogun State, to act without further delay and restore the confidence of the affected students, their parents, and the general public.”
“A timely response will not only protect the reputation of the institution but also demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and the welfare of its students,” the statement concluded.
