AAUA Newly Elected Students’ Union President Appoints 40 Special Advisers

The newly elected President of the Adekunle Ajasin University Students’ Union (AAUASU), Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Folagbade Greatness Ayoola, popularly known as Greatness, has appointed over 40 aides and special advisers days after assuming office.

In a statement issued from the Office of the Students’ Union President and personally signed by Ayoola, the union announced the appointments into various positions, including Chief of Staff, personal assistants, directors, and special advisers.

Ayoola said the appointments were made “to ensure top-notch administration and proper effectiveness of the AAUASU presidency.”

According to the statement, the appointees were “screened and deemed fit to perform well in these responsibilities.”

Among those appointed are Olayinka Oluwaferanmi Emmanuel as Chief of Staff and Oluwafemi Olalekan Israel as Deputy Chief of Staff.

Others include Omotunwase Success Ayomide as Senior Personal Assistant to the President, Obagaye Micheal as Personal Assistant II, Olaleye Kausara as Secretary to the President, and Ajileye Henry Olawale as Chief Press Secretary.

The administration also created several directorate positions, including Director of Protocol, Media and Publicity, Travels and Exchange, Gender, Photography and Videography, and Housing, Agents and Accommodations.

Special adviser positions were also announced, covering Strategy, Special Duties, Logistics, Academic Affairs, Health Services, Union Projects, Gender and Women Affairs, Campus Transportation, Sports and Recreation, External Affairs, ICT, Security, Fundraising and Sponsorship, Information and Communication Technology, and others.

Ayoola also announced security-related appointments, including ADC 1 (IPCC), while ADC 2 (Man O War) and ADC 3 (Cadet Corps) remain vacant.

The appointments have generated reactions on social media, with some questioning the size of the students’ union president’s cabinet.

The university management had yet to issue any official reaction at the time of filing this report.
