The UEFA Champions League Golden Boot race is heading into its decisive stage following Wednesday’s semi-final clash, with Europe’s top forwards still competing to end the season as the competition’s top scorer.

Despite there being only one match on Wednesday, the standings remain unchanged at the top as several leading contenders are no longer involved in the competition.

Kylian Mbappé currently leads the scoring chart with 15 goals for Real Madrid. The French forward has enjoyed another outstanding European campaign, scoring consistently throughout the tournament.

Close behind him is Harry Kane, who has netted 14 goals for Bayern Munich this season.

However, both Mbappé and Kane will not feature in the final, leaving an opportunity for other players still active in the competition to make a late push in the race for the Golden Boot.

Among the closest challengers is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has scored 10 goals for Paris Saint-Germain and could add to his tally in the final against Arsenal.

Also on 10 goals are Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid and Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United.

Erling Haaland follows with eight goals for Manchester City, while several players remain tied on seven and six goals respectively.
