Chelsea Football Club will visit Lagos, Nigeria, for the first time in its history this May as part of its global fan engagement programme.

Chelsea added that the Lagos stop will be the fifth destination in the programme this season, which has been expanded to include more host cities.

“The visit to Nigeria is the fifth stop this season for the international fan programme, which looks to deepen connections with Blues supporters around the world,” the club said.

Moses, who enjoyed a successful spell at Chelsea, was part of the squad that won the 2016/17 Premier League title.

The former winger also represented Nigeria at international level, making his debut for the Super Eagles in 2012 and playing a key role in the country’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations triumph.

Chelsea urged interested fans to register for a chance to attend the Lagos event, noting that participation would be subject to a ballot and that registration does not guarantee attendance.

The club said the initiative is designed to bring supporters together as the season approaches its conclusion.
