The Egbe Borokinni Ti Ile Ibadan Foundation extends warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslims in Ibadanland and calls on indigenous sons and daughters to actively support development projects in the community.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Borokinni Amb. Abdul-Hakeem Atilade, on behalf of President Borokinni Aare (Dr) Yusuf Olatunji Lawal FCIPM (CACATIN), the foundation emphasized the values of Ramadan—sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and faith. These values, the statement noted, should continue to guide the community long after the holy month, inspiring acts of service and dedication to collective progress.
The foundation urged members to sustain their generosity and remain focused on development objectives. It highlighted that indigenes should not take a back seat when called upon for projects that benefit Ibadanland, noting that each contribution—whether time, expertise, or resources—plays a critical role in achieving long-term community growth.
Egbe Borokinni Ti Ile Ibadan Foundation also encouraged collaboration among community members, stressing that unity and shared responsibility are key to driving impactful projects. By coming together, members can ensure that the foundation’s motto, “Fun Idagbasoke ati Igbesi Aye to dara julo fun Ile Ibadan” (For the development and better living of Ibadan), is fully realized.
Furthermore, the statement acknowledged the importance of fostering youth participation in community initiatives, urging younger generations to embrace leadership roles and contribute innovative ideas to local development projects. Such engagement, the foundation emphasized, strengthens the foundation’s mission and ensures a sustainable legacy for Ibadanland.
The foundation also extended heartfelt wishes to the Olubadan, H.I.M Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja Arusa 1, praying for more years of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and continuous progress in Ibadanland. The message concluded with a call for collective effort, reminding all indigenes that the development of the city is a shared responsibility that requires consistent commitment and active participation.
