A video that has gone viral along with posts on social media has brought allegations of domestic violence into the spotlight, putting the marriage of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and politician Senator Ned Nwoko under intense public scrutiny.
In footage making the rounds online, Daniels is seen crying while friends comfort her, as she expresses that she can no longer endure the alleged mistreatment from her husband.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my house, I am a queen. Not again, I cannot stand the violence, it is too much,” she says in the clip.
The situation attracted even more attention after Sammy West, Daniels’s brother, shared an Instagram story accusing the senator of physically assaulting his sister, leaving the scene, and later sending men to intimidate the family.
West, describing the incident bluntly and noting it was not the first occurrence, wrote in Pidgin that he would defend his sister and condemned any man who hits a woman.
These claims on social media remain allegations. As of publication, neither Senator Ned Nwoko nor his representatives have made any public statements regarding the claims.
