Ondo Community Gets New Monarch

A Senior Officer of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, Prince Bankole Adeyefa, has emerged as the new Elemure of Emure-Ile in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Adeyefa, the son of the immediate past monarch, Late Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa, was chosen by the town’s kingmakers after polling four out of five votes cast during the selection process.

The outcome was announced by the Olori Ebi of Emure-Ile, Prince Johnson Omotosho, in the presence of officials from the Owo Local Government who supervised the exercise.

Until his emergence as Oba-elect, Prince Adeyefa served as a Senior Procurement Officer at the Ondo State-owned Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa.

A seasoned professional, the Oba-elect is an alumnus of several institutions, including Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso; Achievers University, Owo; Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko; and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.

He also attended Ipenmen Community Grammar School and Our Saviour Anglican Primary School, Emure-Ile.

Prince Adeyefa holds a Master’s degree (MBA) in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.

He is a certified procurement professional and a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the Nigerian Institute of Management, and the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Association under the Presidency.

The new monarch succeeds his late father, Oba Simeon Adeyefa, who passed away in March 2025.
